We at Egli Hotel are committed to green development and the principles of Sustainable Tourism.

We believe in in responsible and environmentally sound entrepreneurship and have made it our goal to reduce our carbon footprint by implementing a series of actions that respect our beautiful island’s natural environment.

Meanwhile, we aim to raise awareness amongst our guests by inviting them to adopt our ecologically friendly actions during their stay at Egli Hotel, thus safeguarding natural resources.

Our Green Actions are the following:

- A system that reduces energy consumption by using the door key to activate the air conditioning and lighting has been installed in each room.

- The air conditioning units only function when the windows in the room are shut, therefore reducing energy consumption even further.

- All the light fixtures have been replaced with LED bulbs and solar panel water heaters have been installed for energy consumption.

- All our electrical equipment have a low energy consumption.

- We urge our guests to reuse bedsheets and towels for more than one night.

- We support the island’s local community as almost all our suppliers are local businesses.

- We support local producers by using their fresh ingredients in the making of our delicious breakfast.

- We support the volunteer projects Andros Routes a group tasked with recording, maintaining, signposting, and showcasing the various hiking routes across the island & Clean Green Andros, a volunteer group whose aim is to raise awareness in the local community in the reduction of single use plastics and general waste.

- We have reduced most of our single use plastics and replaced them with environmentally friendly alternatives.
